Who is your client?
Not everybody! And that's ok. My clients are typically those who go with the flow + let the session happen. They don't ask the kiddos to sit still, smile + say "cheese!" They trust in the beauty of their routine of the everyday + that it's worth documenting + archiving, for decades to come. They love those heart stopping images of their 'lil babe in a highchair - cheerios rolling onto the floor or their toddler jumping on the bed + the ones of Mom or Dad tying shoe laces while sitting on the kitchen floor as we head outside. My clients are the bees knees.
What can I expect at our session?
Our time together is going to be fun, candid, relaxed + unrehearsed. I embrace the mess, the chaos, the hustle + the bustle. Think of it as honest photography. Life as you live it. That could mean having breakfast/lunch, going for a coffee or walking to the park. Things that you do as a family. How you spend your time + how you love on each other. I shoot strictly in natural + available light.
How much are sessions?
Well, here's the thing. I charge a flat rate + it includes ALL of your digital files. I don't hold them hostage! The rate also includes travel time + the hand editing of each high resolution digital file. Sessions are $500. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
my home isn't suitable - renos, messy +/or bad light!
I assure you, it's perfect! I work around renos + have a way of beautifying the mess. Remember when I said it was like honest photography. Yeah, that. Plus, I'm a Mom, too. So I get it. I've got your back. But even with my genuine assurance that I can find corners + nooks of your home worth photographing, we can venture outside. Choosing a location really depends on they type of documentary session you're after. Whether that be coffee or ice cream dates, playing in the front or back yard + capturing your family all snuggled together on the sidewalk curb or huddled in the middle of your street - I promise you - there will be no forced smiles mixed with stiff awkward posing here. Candid meets quirky meets stylish. Cross my heart.
what if it rains?
Don't sweat it - it happens! I'm super understanding about it, in fact, available natural light guides my sessions so if the lighting conditions aren't right, then we re-schedule for a new date when all the stars are aligned.
WHAT TO WEAR?
First + foremost - I want you to be comfortable! I tell clients to stick to a colour palette rather than a matchy matchy game plan. Favourite tees + jeans are always my jam. Stripes + floral are also pretty great. Earthy colours and materials work really well for the intimate feel we’re after.
WHEN WILL OUR PHOTOS BE READY?
Your gallery will be ready + available for download within 2 weeks of our session. Download is immediate and through a custom gallery.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
I sure do! I accept commissions throughout The Greater Toronto Area as well as cottage country + well, just about anywhere you wanna go!
CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOS?
Heck yes! I provide full permission to print + have a couple of local printers that I can recommend. With that said, I do also recommend ordering prints through the studio if you intend to display them as art on your walls. The prints I provide come with the best of warranties + the highest quality of professional printing. Multiple gift prints are great for my local printers, I get it - you need 2 or 3 or 4 for grandparents + you don't want to break the bank. I've got your back. Don't you worry.
